Richest Areas of Monaco

Monaco is one of the few city-states in Europe, that managed to make it out of the Middle ages, without being swallowed up by one of the big boys. Bordering only France, and the sea, Monaco is a unique, beautiful, tiny, and very wealthy part of Europe, that everyone should check out if they can. Monaco is known for being rich, but if you want to know what the most expensive districts of Monaco are, we have the list for you:

Fontvieille

On the Southwestern border of Monaco, you will find the Fontvieille district, which is one of the youngest areas of Monaco. Reclaimed from the land and designed by an Italian architect, this is a very unique and different area of the principality. Here you will find some of the more important infrastructure of Monaco, like the stadium the Fontvieille Harbour, the heliport, and the Princess Grace Rose Garden. This is a modern area and certainly worth checking out if you want to see a different side of Monaco.

La Condamine

La Condamine is one of the smallest wards in Monaco, which says a lot about its size. The most notable landmark here is the Port Hercule. Even if you don’t have a great, big yacht you will still want to take a stroll and marvel at the huge boats that some of the Monaco residents and visitors have. It’s the only deep-water port of Monaco and was made famous in the James Bond movie GoldenEye. If you care about the yacht and a walk around one of Monaco’s oldest areas, La Condamine is worth checking out.

Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo is one of the most popular areas in Monaco. You have likely seen it in multiple films, like To Catch a ThiefNever Say Never Again, as well as multiple books, games and TV. The Monte Carlo casino is arguably the most fancy casino in the world (except for maybe Macao) and if you have some cash to burn, or know how to play poker, you should stop by. However, this area of Monaco is even wealthier and prettier than the rest, so you should definitely come and explore, even if you don’t plan on spending a fortune.
